OUR CORE VALUES

Our core values come straight from Scripture. These core values guide how we live our lives and align us with God’s plan, purpose, and the mission He’s given us to Reach People and Build Lives.

Put God First

We always start with this core value, because it is the foundation of everything we do. We live out this value through these two standards:

  • Acknowledge God as number one in every area of our life.

  • Grow in our personal relationship with Jesus.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38

Do Life Together

Scripture makes it clear that God builds through relationships and community. We live out this value through these two standards:

  • Be there for each other.

  • Have fun together.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

Reach People

God’s heart is to reach those who don’t know Him, so we are passionate about doing the same. We live out this value through these two standards:

  • People matter to God.

  • Make every moment count.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Build Lives

God has called all believers to make disciples, so one of our primary focuses is to help people build their lives both spiritually and relationally according to God’s Word. We live out this value through these two standards:

  • Point people to the Bible.

  • Help people take their next step.

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Develop Servant Leaders

God wants us to use the gifts and talents He gave us to serve others, and to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus and every area of their lives. We live out this value through these two standards:

  • Model humility.

  • Think multiplication.

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10

Live Generously

As believers, we are instructed to be generous on every occasion with our time, our talents, and our treasure. Through our generosity, we will bring healing and hope to others, and people will express thanks to God as a result of that generosity. We live out this value through these two standards:

  • Give our time, talent, and treasure.

  • Little and big things make a difference.

You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11










OUR TEAM VALUES

When you value something, you consider it to be important and beneficial. We have these four team values because they’re vital to living out our purpose and fulfilling our mission together. The Dream Team and church staff live out these values in everything we do.

We Work As a Team

We are better together. We live out this value through these two standards.

  1. Honor one another’s strengths.

  2. Value collaboration, communication, and community.

Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 1 Corinthians 12:14-18

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2: 1-4

We Have a Positive Attitude

Our attitude is completely our choice, but it impacts everyone. We live out this value through these two standards:

  1. Choose joy in every circumstance.

  2. We serve because we want to, not because we have to.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

We Do Everything With Excellence

Everything speaks, which means everything around us sends a message, making us feel or think a certain way. We live out this value through these two standards:

  1. Excellence honors God and inspires people.

  2. Pay attention to details.

Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. Daniel 6:3

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men... Colossians 3:23

We Celebrate Wins!

What we celebrate, gets repeated. When someone’s life is impacted by the love of Jesus, we want to hear the story. We want to share it and celebrate it! We live out this value through these two standards:

  1. Remember why we do what we do.

  2. Make time to celebrate the big and small wins.

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
